Patrick Deng

Business, technology, people, and life.

Hello, I'm Patrick.

Much of my professional journey has revolved around one question: How do we move beyond managing resources and processes to creating real value?

My career has taken me from budgeting and cost management to building digital systems, working in procurement, and leading business operations.

Each transition has changed how I see organizations. Rules and processes matter, but they are not the ultimate goal. What matters is whether we can solve meaningful problems, make better decisions, and create value for people.

Today, I'm especially interested in how artificial intelligence is reshaping business, organizations, and individual lives.

I see AI as more than a productivity tool. It challenges some of our assumptions about how work should be organized, how decisions are made, and what individuals can achieve.

I'm exploring these questions through both professional practice and personal experiments, including building my own personal AI system to support learning, knowledge management, and decision-making.

But my curiosity extends well beyond business and technology.

I enjoy exploring cities through everyday life — walking through local markets, discovering unfamiliar streets, and observing how people live. I'm also interested in history, culture, human relationships, and the ideas that shape our societies.

I believe the most interesting insights often emerge when we connect ideas across different disciplines, cultures, and experiences.

Why this website?

I wanted an independent place to think, write, build, and connect.

Here, I share ideas I'm developing, lessons from experience, projects I'm experimenting with, and occasional observations about life.

I write in both English and Chinese. AI sometimes helps me bridge the language gap, but the ideas, opinions, and judgments are my own.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me. In fact, I believe thoughtful disagreement is often where learning begins.

If you're interested in business, AI, human behavior, or simply looking at the world from different perspectives, I'd be happy to connect.

Let's exchange ideas and see where the conversation takes us.
